Jean Loret
Jean Loret , born at the beginning of with Carentan and died in 1665 with Paris, is a Poète French.
Not having received any instruction almost, Loret was devoted to the kind Burlesque, like much from rhymesters of second order of his time, and begin with burlesques Poésies containing several epistle S with various people from the court (Paris, 1646, in-4°).
Loret had then the idea to address each week to duchess of Longueville a Gazette in Towards, including/understanding the Politique, the Théâtre, the Littérature, the entertainments of the court, the commérages of the streets, and it made it print under the title of the historical MUSE (Paris, 1650 - 65, 3 vol. in-fol. ; nouv. edict., Paris, 1857, 4. vol. in-8°). This work, known as under the name of burlesque Gazette , is more commonplace as comic and of a form one cannot neglected any more, but there is naive, and, by the impartiality, remained a good source of information.
Loret had two continuators, Mayolas and Robinet.
