Jean Le Cam

Jean Le Cam is a navigator French born with Quimper (Finistere) the April 27th 1959.

It is one of three victorious triple (with Philippe Poupon and Michel Desjoyeaux) of the Solitaire of the Barber, whom it gains in 1994, 1996 and 1999.

Very small already, it sails with his father with the Glénan where it finds Jean Kerloc' H, guard of the headlight of Penfret, who takes it along to fish on his prame , and in bay of Concarneau, with Hubert Desjoyeaux in 420, then in Armagnac.

Jean Le Cam will be later team-member of Eric Tabarly with Michel Desjoyeaux. It often takes part in the Solitaire of the Barber whom it gains three times, before starting the revolution of the Multicoque S (“Formula 40” with Cookies-Cantreau ).

In the Vendée Globe 2004/2005 it arrives in second position behind Vincent Riou. At the head very a long time on its boat Bonduelle , it was made go up in the last part of the race and only arrived 7 hours after the first, at the end of a tour around the world of: 41000 km.
