Jean Lavidalie

Jean Lavidalie , born the October 30th 1902 with Virsac (the Gironde), is a Mécanicien French.

Biography

His/her parents Pierre and Marguerite Lavidalie were farmers with Virsac. Mechanic-sailing, it helped Jean Mermoz to develop the crossing of the South Atlantic. It disappeared at sea on December 7th, 1936, after twelve years of service, aboard seaplane " The Cross of Sud". the crew was composed of Jean Mermoz, chief of edge; Alexandre Pichodou, pilot; Henri Ézan, navigator; Edgar Cruvelhier, radio and Jean Lavidalie, mechanic.

They will be entitled to national funeral on December 30th, in Paris.

It was useful with uprightness, honor, heart and simplicity; he was Chevalier of the Légion of honor. He was regarded as a professional except par.
