Jean Klein
Jean Klein (1912-1998) is a French spiritualistic author and, musicologist and doctor of formation. Jean Klein exempted during his life in Europe and in the United States a teaching of Eastern wisdom adapted at the time modern, while transmitting a rich person experiment of the existence, approaches direct with the nonmental dimension of the life. For him, it is only in a " spontaneous state of interior silence which we can open with our true nature: “I am” pure conscience" : That which burns to know its true nature must initially understand that it is identified by error with the objects: “I am this”, “I am that”. Any identification, any state, is transitory, consequently without reality. To identify it “I” with this or that am the root of ignorance. You ask what is permanent during all the phases of the life. You will discover that the question: “which am I?” does not have answer. You cannot test what is permanent in a relation subject/object like something of perceptible. You can only formulate and explain what you are not. Continuity that basically you are cannot be translated into words or be rationalized. To be is not-duel, absolute presence without eclipse, whatever the circumstances. ( Conscience and the World )
In its last book " To transmit the lumière" it approached its meetings with its Master in India and the circumstances of sound awakening, which was not a mystical experiment or a new state but according to him " continuum of the life, the not-state with the light of which the birth, death and any experiment have lieu."
Biography
After studies of musicology and medicine, it is in the middle of its life that it leaves in India during 3 years to study the Yoga. It meets a spiritual Master there and returns to teach in Occident to transmit this " gymnosophie " (gymnastics of wisdom, word employed to describe yoga by Socrate and Plato.)
Quotations
- what you seek, you are it already.
- When your listening is total, each moment is new, if not it is only about repetition. As a long time as will last the reflex to take to you for somebody, you will see only fragments, and the glance whom you will carry on your environment could be only fragmentary. It is the fragmentary vision which creates a problem; if not there is no problem. It is you only who create the problem.
- " The truth is not field of the possession of knowing but is to know as being. It is the direct perception of the intrinsic nature of all existence".
- " The symbols express reality more deeply than the majority of the words. They bore the mental one and reflect its own ground in its totality. The symbols bring you beyond the complementarity. "
- " We cannot arrive at the unknown by continuing the connu"
