Jean Kickx (1803-1864)

Jean Kickx is a Flemish Botaniste , born the January 17th 1803 and died in 1864.

He undertakes the drafting of a cryptogamic Flore of Flandres which his/her son Jean Jacques Kickx completes (1842-1887). The Kickxia of Scrophulariaceae, created by Barthelemy Charles Joseph Dumortier (1797-1878), commemorates either its name, or that of his/her father, Jean Kickx (1775-1831), also botanist.
