Jean Kanapa

Jean Kanapa (1921-1978) is an intellectual and a leader of the French Communist party (PCF).

Resulting from an Jewish family exerting in finance, it becomes aggregate of philosophy, near of Jean-Paul Sartre. It adheres to PCF after the Release, tries a career of writer but turns soon to the political activities. Stalinist pure and hard, it directs during ten years the review New Criticism and remains several years with Cuba and Moscow as a correspondent of Humanity .

To advise near to Waldeck Ratchet then of Georges Marchais, it theorizes and accompanies the political evolutions by the PCF of which he is member of the Political office Central committee until his death.
