Jean Kahn , (Paris June 25th 1922 - September 28th 2006), was a lawyer French.

Biography

Jean Kahn enters in 1947 to the Council of State, where it makes most of his career (to president of section).

During the mandate of François Mitterrand, it is one of its advisers, person in charge in particular of the constitutional questions in the Elysium. He was the president of the Representative council of the Jewish institutions of France (CRIF) of 1989 to 1995. He is also, of 1991 to 1999, general secretary of the Fondation France Freedoms. From 2001 to 2003, it chairs the François-Mitterrand Institute. In 2005, it belongs to a group of lawyers signatories of one call to the opposition to the European constitutional treaty.
