Jean Juventin
Jean Juventin (born the March 9th 1928 with PAPEETE) is a Politician of French Polynésie, former deputy with the National Assembly, first once of 1978 to 1981, then from July 5th, 1981 to April 1st, 1986 (“independent”), then of 1993 to 1997 (“Rassemblement for the Republic”, then République and freedom, starting from June 3rd, 1995).
He was president of the territorial Assemblée:
- 48e president. Elected official on May 10th, 1988
- 49e. May 3rd, 1989
- 50e. May 4th, 1990 (interruption of the 51e president, from March 28th, 1991 to April 1st, 1992, by Emile Vernaudon)
- 52e. April 2nd, 1992
- 53e. April 22nd, 1993
- 54e. April 14th, 1994
Member of the movement separatist Here Ai' has of which he was the president:
- 1965 : creation by John Teariki, resulting from RDPT;
- 10/5/1983: death of John Teariki; Jean Juventin chair
- 3/17/1991: take part for the territorial elections in the Polynesian Union
Teacher, then principal, it was elected mayor of PAPEETE at the time of the municipal elections of March 13rd 1977 (reconfirmed on March 6th, 1983, then on March 13rd, 1989).
