Jean Ier de Rohan

Jean Ier de Rohan (born in 1324 - deceased in 1396), 11th Viscount of Rohan, wire of Alain VII of Rohan.

In 1349, it marries Jeanne of Leon, viscountess de Léon, deceased in 1372, girl of Herve VII and Marguerite d' Avaugour. They will have three children:

  • Alain VIII of Rohan, Viscount of Rohan after his father
  • Edouard de Rohan, Viscount of Leon, marries Marguerite de Chateaubriand
  • Jeanne de Rohan who marries in 1347 Robert d' Alençon (House of Valois), count of the Pole, then Pierre II of Amboise, Vicomte of Thouars. It did not have children.

In 1377, it marries Jeanne de Navarre (House of Evreux), of which it will have Charles Ier de Rohan-Guémené, origin of the branch of Rohan-Guémené.
