Jean Ier de Valois , known as Wise the , born in 1385, died with Azincourt in 1415, count, then duke of Alençon and count de Perche, wire of Pierre II of Alençon and Marie Chamaillard. It was the first of the line to carry the title of duke .
Biography

It succeeded young person his/her father and lived during one time of confusion, in the middle of the factions which divided the entourage of Charles VI '' Insane the ''. Charles VI, whereas it besieged the dukes of Berry and Bourbon in Bourges, sent Louis of Anjou against Jean d' Alençon, who had to make his tender with the king, and accompanied it with the seats by Compiegne, Noyon, Soissons, Bapaume and Arras. The king armed it knight in front of Bapaume and set up Alençon in duchy-peerage in 1414.
