Biography
Jean II of Nuremberg succeeded his father in 1332. He increased the possessions of the House of Hohenzollern. In 1340, after the extinction of the counts d' Olamünde, Jean II of Nuremberg acquired the county of Külmbach and the castle of Plassenbourg located at Külmbach in Bavaria.
Under the reign of Jean II of Nuremberg, an epidemic of Peste was declared, it did many victims within the population, this epidemic extended to Nuremberg. The Jewish population was held for person in charge of this epidemic, of nombreaux Juifs were assassinated, Jean II of Nuremberg did not intervene to put a term at these assassinations. His/her son Frederic V of Nuremberg succeeded to him.
