Jean II of Nassau-Beilstein , (in German Johann II von Nassau-Beilstein), deceased the August 18th 1513.

He was count de Nassau-Beilstein of 1499 with 1513.

Family

Wire of Henri IV of Nassau-Beilstein and Eve von Sayn.

In 1492, it married Marie von Solms (1471 - 1505), (girl of the count Othon von Solms)

Four children were born from this union:

  • Henri de Nassau-Beilstein (1496 - killed in 1525)

  • Hermine de Nassau-Beilstein († 1584), it entered the orders

  • Eve de Nassau-Beilstein († 1579), it also entered the orders

Widower, Jean II of Nassau-Beilstein married in 1510 Anne zur Lippe († 1533), (girl of the count Bernard VII zur Lippe).

Jean II of Nassau-Beilstein belonged to the third branch of the Maison of Nassau, itself resulting from the second branch. This line of Nassau-Beilstein belonged to the Ottonienne stem which gave stathouders to the Flanders, the Holland, the Gueldre, to the United Provinces, it also gave a king to the England with the Scotland in the person of Guillaume III of Orange-Nassau, kings and queens with the Netherlands.

This line of Nassau-Beilstein died out in 1561 with the last count Jean III of Nassau-Beilstein.
