Jean II of Mecklembourg-Werle-Güstrow belongs to the second branch (Mecklembourg-Werle) resulting from the first branch of the Maison of Mecklembourg. This second line died out with Guillaume de Mecklembourg-Werle-Güstrow in 1436.
