It started by taking part in the seat of Metz in 1444, then took part in the countryside of Normandy where it proved to be a captain of famous war. Louis XI withdrew the government of Guyenne to him, and it joined the Ligue of the Public property of which it became burning taking part. After peace, Louis XI tried to reconsider his errors and forgave him, and charged it with taking again the Normandy with Charles of France. In reward, Jean II became governor of the Languedoc. Lous XI also named it knight of the Ordre of Saint-Michel, during the first promotion of this new royal kind, on August 1st, 1469.
