Jean Grelaud

Jean Grelaud , (born the October 26th 1898 and dead the February 25th 2007), was one of the three hairy Derniers French of the First World War.

Mobilized the March 10th 1917, it belonged to the 31ème then 131ème regiment of infantry and fought in the Aisne with the Chemin of the Ladies (April 1917) where it will be grâvement gauze. It is made prisoner at the time of the second battle of the Marne (July 1918) where it will be captured then interned in a camp in Belgium. He will escape some before being repatriated the November 21st 1918. He will not be demobilized before 1920.

He also took part in the Second world war, but always refused to testify, deliver photographs or to give indications on his life.

He dies the February 25th 2007 at the 108 years and 122 days age. With its request, its death was held secret during several days. Its family announced her death only the March 5th.
