Jean Fouquet , born towards 1420 with Turns, died towards 1478 - 1481, is an artist Enlumineur.
Regarded as the French great painter of the 15th century, few documents on its life and the chronology of its work reached us. He fell into the lapse of memory one century after his death, and left there only at the 19th century.
One allots the honor to be to him the first artist to have made his Autoportrait as a work with whole share (of other painters before him represented themselves in the middle of crowd in tables). It belongs to the École of Turns.
