Jean Fontenay is an old runner cyclist French, born the July 23rd 1911 with Hirel and deceased the May 21st 1975 with Saint-Malo.

It will become professional in 1934 and until in 1939 will remain it then a return post-war period in 1947. It will gain 3 victories there.

Jean Fontenay will also have two brothers runners cyclists like him: professional Joseph of 1930 with 1931 and professional Leon in 1937.
