Jean Férignac

Jean Férignac , born the September 27th 1936 with Champagne-and-Fountain (the Dordogne), is a former player French of Handball evolving/moving at the station of goalkeeper. Better guard of its time, it was the first studied systematically all the attitudes of the gunners in order to anticipate.

Selected with 101 resumptions in team of France of handball between 1957 and 1970, he was often the captain of 1958 with 1970. He is elected better French player in 1960 and 1964.

In club, it carries successively the colors of Bordeaux EC., Paris CPU, Bataillon of Joinville, Paris CPU, SMUC Marseilles, Montpellier CPU and Montpellier HB and gains four championships of France: 1959, 1961, 1962 and 1965.

Its career of player completed, he becomes trainer then DTN of 1985 with 1988. It is him which names Daniel Costantini at the station of selector of the team of France in 1985.
