Jean Duvignaud (born the February 22nd 1921 with La Rochelle and dead the February 17th 2007 in the same city) was a writer, drama critic, Sociologue, Dramaturge, Essayiste, Scénariste and Anthropologue.
He chaired the Maison of the cultures of the world Paris directed by Chérif Khaznadar.
In Festivals and civilizations it tries to include/understand this moment of the social life where a community is joined together by an activity, released of its kind and its hierarchies. In another he wonders about the spot dedicated to time and those to space.
In 1972, with the writer Georges Perec, who was his pupil with Étampes, and the philosopher Paul Virilio, it founds the review common Cause .
In 1969, he is director of the Special Ecole of Architecture about which he will say in 1995: " I believed that it was to be a Bauhaus! Impossible, that requires considérables." means; (matter collected by Thierry Paquot and François Bougon in 1995.
