Jean Donneau de Visé

Jean Donneau de Visé , born in 1638 with Paris where he died the July 8th 1710, is a writer and publicity agent French.

Donneau de Visé began in the letters, in 1661, by news and criticisms of Corneille and Molière, criticizing the School of the women and writing in particular at the time of this quarrel a part in an act, entitled Réponse to Impromptu of Versailles or the Revenge on the marquis , probably played in November 1663.

Later he became an admiror and a dedicated defender of Crow, but he persisted in his attacks against Molière, and extended them to Racine and Boileau.

In 1672, it founded the Gallant Mercure , periodical devoted to the news of the theater, arts, of the edition, but also with pewters of living rooms and the gallant songs. In spite of criticisms of the Heather, Noble the, or Boursault, this periodical, whose privilege dates from the February 15th 1672, provide a brilliant career intended to survive to him until the current time.

At the same time, Donneau de Visé had approached the theater where he was a bright success with Comédie S and Tragédie S played Comédie-Française.

Author of Memories to be used with the history as Louis Large the in 10 volumes, Donneau de Visé accepted, with the title of historiographer of the king, a pension of 500 ecus and a housing with the galleries of the Louvre.

the vain Mother , the Intrigues of the lottery and the avenged Ladies were printed in the Th3e4atre Fran1cais (1737, 12 vol. in-12).
