Jean Doisy

Jean Doisy (1899 - 1955), is the pseudonym of Georges Evrard, Belgian author of cartoon.

It began its career with the Dupuis Editions by publishing various novels in the Azur collection.

He was editor association of the newspaper Spirou of 1938 to 1955, date on which he was replaced by Yvan Delporte.

He wrote editorial newspaper, the heading " The Fretterer you dira" and the " Corner of the lecteurs" .

For the play " Do you see the errors? " that it animated, Doisy signed Fantasio. This character was drawn for the first time by Jijé in 1942, when it drew the cover of the N°11 collection of the Newspaper of Spirou.

At the request of Doisy, Jijé will integrate thereafter the character into the adventures of Spirou.

In August 1938, Jean Doisy creates the " Club of the has put D E S pirou" (ADDRESS OF THE SERVICE). The members of this club were to respect a code of honor, or values such as frankness, uprightness, discipline, fidelities with God and his country, were to be respected.

He is also scenario writer for novels published at Dupuis in the collection the weekly magazines of the great accounts .

It is him which imagines the character of the detective Jean Valhardi , that it will propose with Jijé.
