Jean Dewasne

Jean Dewasne , born the May 21st 1921 with Lille and dead the July 23rd 1999 with Paris, is a French painter, one of the Masters of the constructive abstraction. It founds in 1950 with Edgard Pillet the Workshop of abstract art in Paris After traditional and musical studies very thorough, Jean Dewasne is registered at the School of the Art schools of Paris where he attends, during two years, the workshops of architecture before turning to painting. Its first exposure takes place in 1941 and it carries out its first work abstracted in 1943. it will militate for the abstraction with Hartung, of Staël, Poliakoff, Arp, etc and, in 1945, year when it will contribute to the creation of the Living room of New Realities, it will receive the Kandinsky Price

He is the author of the Antisculptures'

In 1991, it is elected member of the Académie of the Art schools to the armchair of Hans Hartung. He is also member of the Oupeinpo.
