Jean Conan

Jean Conan was born on September 3rd 1765 with Holy-Cross from Guingamp (Coast-with Armor). As of the 12 years age, Jean Conan returns as servant to the Abbaye of Beauport, in Kerity- Paimpol where it spends the whole nights to reading.

In 1785, Jean Conan is affected like drum in a company of provincial hunters in Guingamp. He engages in 1786 for fishing with cod with Newfoundland but prefers to return to France to turn over to the abbey of Beauport where he replonge again in his dear library. It Marie on January 24th, 1789. February 24th, 1792, Jean Conan is enlisted in the army. He is wounded into 1793 of a ball in the thigh then reformed in 1794 following other an accident.

Become Tisserand, Conan circulates in the farms of Trédrez and Saint-Michel-in-Strike to work in residence in the peasants. During the day it weaves fabric and the come night, it settles to write.

He dies on December 18th 1834 and bequeaths to his children, in addition to his weaving loom, a sideboard full with manuscripts.

François-Marie Luzel intervenes too late to save the whole of the manuscripts of Jean Conan whom his children had sold like packing paper for one ecu of three francs.
