Jean Christmas de Soye (born with Marseilles in 1955) is a Photographe French.
Biography
Jean Christmas de Soye gives up studies of sciences to devote itself to photography.In 1984, it starts to work on the Gipsies and the Flamenco in Andalusia, and joined the agency Rapho. Its reports color are then published by several magazines (Géo, the Express train, Le Monde, the Sunday Times, Stern, Traveler, Vogue, etc)
“Venice” (1992 - 1999) is its first personal project in black and white. Wandering in a labyrinth mysterious, imperceptible, memories of the Italian realistic cinema, this portrait intimist of the city is the subject of a great number of publications in Europe. It is exposed to the Festival Biarritz, Grounds of Images.
In 2000, it meets Jémia and Jean-Marie Gustave Clézio, with which it traverses the Ouzbékistan. The reading of the Gold digger , title headlight of this writer, inspires to him I remember Veronique Angela Zettor , account of voyage to the Réunion.
