Jean Chauchard

Jean Chauchard is a French sculptor born in 1945 with Rodez.

After its secondary studies, it enters to the school of the Art schools of Clermont-Ferrand, then in that of Paris. It also belonged to the 10 logists of the Grand Prix of Rome in 1968.

More particularly specialized in the monumental sculpture on stone, Jean Chauchard carried out many public orders for places in Auvergne and France. He also carried out many busts of which that of Georges Pompidou with Montboudif.

Its personal achievements approach the topic of the erotism with a bucolic naivety where flowers and birds interfere themselves with the bodies women and men.

One owes him in particular the fountain which was until in 2004 Place of Jaude, with Clermont-Ferrand.

Jean Chauchard lives and works with Moissat, in the Puy de Dôme.
