Jean Boissel
Jean Boissel (1891 - 1951), Architect, Journalist and militant of Extreme right-hand side French. Director and founder of the weekly magazine Parisian Collaborationniste the Alarm clock of the people in 1943.
Biographical elements
Seriously wounded at the time of the First World War, Boissel continues then its architectural achievements. It was the Architecte of many buildings, mainly of the villas to the Touquet-Paris-Beach of which some are classified with the general inventory of the architectural heritage French.In 1934, it engages on the plan Politique and creates transitory Légion frontist wanting to be at the same time " Antimaçonnique, unparliamentary and antijudéométèque". The following year, Boissel goes in Germany to take part in the manifestations of the antijuive world Ligue; it will twice speak at the sides of chiefs Nazi S.
In the Alarm clock of the people , semi-monthly which it directs during the Thirties, it utters death threats against Leon Blum then president of the Council. He will be condemned to four months of prison. Decree and imprisoned in 1939 for intelligence with the Enemy , then released by the German S, he will be a craftsman of background of the Collaboration. Condemned to died in 1946, its sorrow is commuted to imprisonment. He dies in 1951.
Architectural achievements with the Touquet-Paris-Beach
La Poste
It was built in 1927 by Delcourt Frères. Jean Boissel gained the contest organized by the municipality (the losers were the architects Louis Quételart and Albert Pouthier). Boissel wanted to have the memory that this building was built with the site of the old Midsummer's Day church, from where the architectural imagination of the small bell-tower. Collaborated in this project: the ceramist Delassus and the painter and glass maker Jeannin Gaëtan. Registered with the MH by decree of May 12th, 1997; inventory Base Mérimée: IA62000154.
