Jean Bardou
Jean Bardou (1799-1852) Industriel perpignanais 19th century.
It is following the example Puig or Patrouix, one of these families started from nothing (born in a medium very modest), and enriched by the trade, hotel trade and industry.
Jean Bardou was born with Ille-on-Small fireclay cup from a family coming from the Haute-Garonne. He becomes paper manufacturer of imagination. He deposits in 1849 a Brevet of invention for a paper with Cigarette says “paper JOB” (i.e. initial J.B with an intercalated point become the letter O).
His/her son
His/her son Pierre Bardou, enriched considerably by this activity, will make really this production one of most important of the the Eastern Pyrenees, and will make his family one of most fortunate of the Roussillon.Besides his/her Pierre son will build a series of castles ordered from Viggo Dorph Petersen.
