Jean Barber of Aucour , lawyer with the Parliament of Paris, born with Langres in 1641, died in 1694.

It is especially known like criticism. It composed inter alia writings:

  • the Feelings of Cléanthe , Paris, 1671, where he refutes with spirit the Entretiens with Ariste and Eugene of the Père Bouhours.
He was member of the French Academy. Burning Jansenist, it wrote several Pamphlet S in prose and worms against the Jésuite S, his Masters.
