Jean Antoine Gray Arthur
Jean Antoine Arthur Gris is a Botaniste French, born the December 11th 1829 with the Châtillon-on-Seine and dead the August 19th 1872 with Paris.
It starts to work in 1855 in the laboratory directed by Adolphe Brongniart (1801-1876) with the national Muséum of natural history. It becomes, in 1858, temporary of Hugh d' Algernon Weddell (1819-1877) which it replaces in 1859 as assistance-naturalist. The same year, it obtains its doctorate with a thesis entitled microscopic Recherches on chlorophyl . He becomes the assistant of Brongniart in 1864.
He is the author of 80 publications which he makes appear mainly in the Bulletin of the botanical Company of France and the Annales of the natural science .
