Jean-Yves de Chaisemartin

Jean-Yves de Chaisemartin (born in 1978) is president of the movement of the Jeunes UDF (youth movement of the Union for the French Democracy). Near to Francois Bayrou he is member of the Executive committee of the movement and takes part in the creation of the Democratic Movement.

Biography

Jean-Yves de Chaisemartin followed his schooling in a bilingual school in Paris region. It for as much never lost foot with its country of Trégor Goëlo and more particularly the town of Paimpol. Holder of the Baccalaureat in 1996 it enters in scientific preparatory classes to integrate in 1999 the school of engineer SupOptique into Orsay. Graduate in 2003 it enters to Sciences Po this same year. He obtains thus in 2005 a master of Finances and Stratégie of the company of the Institute of Political Studies of Paris.

Parallel to these years of studies he works as parliamentary Assistant with the National Assembly in 2004.

Déterminé to be worked with the country, which had decided it to follow studies in optics (Lannion is second optical pole in France), it created a company innovating in the culture of the alga with Lézardrieux. SAS Aléor was born from this dynamics and counts 3 employment today. For him, to exert a trade makes it possible to be coherent with the principle which the policy should not be the object of a career.

Jean-Yves de Chaisemartin is committed in UDF in 2004 after having been taking many contacts within the movement. It takes responsabilities while being quickly charged to direct the countryside of the UDF Young people for the European Constitution in May 2005. A team is formed around him and they are presented to the internal elections of the movement young in June 2006. At this point in time he is elected President of the UDF Young people for a two years mandate. It is the first time that such responsibilities are exerted by a decentralized team and an alive person in charge in Brittany.

These national engagements are accompanied by a strong local political commitment between Paimpol and Lannion. Had a presentiment of during long months, it is invested in April 2007 by Democratic UDF Mouvement as a candidate with the legislative elections.

June 10th, 2007 Jean-Yves de Chaisemartin obtained 10,97% of the voices in the 5th district of the Coasts of Armor to the 1st joining together turn of the legislative elections thus more than 7300 voters and whereas the national score of the Modem was of 7%. The town of Paimpol granted 16,3% of the votes to him.

At the time of the Forum of the democrats of Seignosse in September Jean-Yves de Chaisemartin presented his resignation of the presidency of the UDF Young people in order to encourage the creation of a young Movement within the Democratic Movement.

Since the Congress of creation of the Democratic Movement December 1st, th and 2nd 2007 it left any national responsibility within the movement to fully assume its engagement for the town of Paimpol.
