Jean-Xavier Office of Pusy
Jean-Xavier Bureau of Pusy (born the January 7th 1750 with the Port-on-Saone in the department of the Haute-Saône - died the February 2nd 1806 with Genoa, Italy) is a French military Engineer and politician, who carried on his activity for the period of the Révolution.
Deputy of the Nobility to the Constituent Assembly, Jean-Xavier Bureau of Pusy was named by it three times chair:
- of the 2 to the February 24th 1790;
- of the 11 to the September 24th 1790;
- of the May 24th to the June 5th 1791.
It contributed actively to the division of France in 83 departments, in 1790, like with the uniformity of the weights and measures . It served under Fayette, was stopped with him by the Autrichiens and was locked up with Olmütz in 1792. Released in 1797, he visited the America and was prefect under the First Empire.
