Jean-Victor Augagneur

Jean-Victor Augagneur (Lyon, May 16th, 1855 - Vésinet, April 23rd, 1931) was a doctor and politician French.

Doctor of medicine, he was professor at the Medical college of Lyon.

  • 1890 - Enters to the municipal council of Lyon.

  • 1900 - 1905 - Mayor of Lyon.
  • 1904 - Appointed of Lyon (Left republican-Socialist).
  • 1905 - 1910 - Governor of Madagascar.
  • 1910 - appointed of the Rhone.
  • June 27th, 1911 - January 14th, 1912 - Minister for Work-public the, and Minister for the Station-and-Telegraphs, in the Government Joseph Caillaux.
  • June 13rd, 1914 - August 3rd, 1914 - Minister for the State education, and Minister for the Art schools, in the Government Rene Viviani (1).
  • August 3rd, 1914 - October 29th, 1915 - Minister for the Navy in the Rene Viviani (1) and Rene Viviani (2)
  • 1919 - Governor of French equatorial Africa.
  • 1928 - 1931 - Deputy of Lyon.
