Jean-Thomas Jobin is a Humoriste Absurde Québécois.

Biography

As of his more young age, the small Jean-Thomas discovers that it has talent for humor and promised itself to make career of it.

Its first humorous experiments were done in fifth secondary. It took part in a newspaper studying in its school where it wrote absurd news. For this day, Jean-Thomas has adored the writing. He wrote these last years a parody of biography which he always tries to make publish.

In 1998 and 1999, in Quebec, it supplemented its formation in a college of radio and television. In 2000, it took part in a contest of vidéastes amateurs. It deserved the price of the public.

It decided, following this price, to go to audition with the National school of humor. It was accepted and supplemented its formation. It is there that it made its first meeting with the scene and the public. It made a round of 20 spectacles through the Quebec, of which the Festival Juste to laugh edition 2000, which was great successes. At the summer of this same year, it made absurd chronicles with CKMF with the emission of the return to the house.

At the summer 2001, it assembled the " Absurde" show; in collaboration with the Denis Drolet who was also a great success with the Festival Juste to laugh 2001. Jobin accepted the price of the record for its performances at the time of this festival where it also made an appearance very successful during the official reception of Mario Jean with the Théâtre St-Denis

Following these events, Jean-Thomas Jobin took part in some television programs. He presented some humorous numbers to it, for example with the Official reception Personality of the Press with Radio-Canada like with the “Cabarets of humor” animated by Michel Barrette on TQS. He interpreted also supporting roles in the series “Catherine” and “the plate”, diffused with SRC.

During the autumn 2001, it took part in “humor after the school”, a round of spectacles being held in the big rooms of the province, organized by the National school of humor.

At the summer 2002, Jean-Thomas Jobin and the Denis Drolet return in force with “the Absurd Show 2”, presented to the Studio Juste to laugh for eight representations. In 2002, with his first presence with the Great Laughter Blue, Jean-Thomas receives the gold nose of the Revelation. He shared this last with Mike Ward and Martin Rozon.

In February 2003, Jean-Thomas took part in the “Labrèche Club” of the emission “the large fair one with an underhand show” as “popularizer of the simple things”.

Jean-Thomas Jobin flew away in Europe in May 2003 where it made discover his universe mild nutter with the Festival of the humor of Cavaillon in Provence.

He belonged to the round Juste to laugh, fermented 2003 - 2004, launched at the time of the last festival. In company of Cathy Gauthier, Stephan Been necessary like Pascal Babin, Jean-Thomas traversed all the Quebec until spring 2004. At the summer 2004, Jean-Thomas coanime for the first time an official reception and it is with Maxim Martin with the Grand Laughter Blue of Quebec, following their performance, that they receive the gold nose of the very favorite of the festival.

Chronicler with “Black Fun” on TQS and with “an emission color of Radio-Canada”, with SRC, Jean-Thomas Jobin was named Révélation of the year to the Official reception of the Olive-trees 2004. The weather is at present his first “one man show” since October 2005 and will take part in the official reception of Laurent Paquin with the festival Juste to laugh 2006. In February 2006, with the official reception of the Jean-Thomas Olive-trees is in nomination in 2 categories: “Spectacle of humor of the year” and “Author of the year”. We also see his name in nominated “Spectacle of humor of the year” in October 2006, with the official reception of the ADISQ. Jean-Thomas has taken part for 5 years in the literary cabaret “the Authors of Sunday”.
