Jean-Pierre Saintonge

Jean-Pierre Saintonge (December 6th 1945 with Montreal) is a Québécois politician.

He is holder of a baccalaureat in pedagogy, of a patent “has” teaching and of a baccalaureat be arts. He teaches with the Saint-Ignace college of 1967 with 1969, at the school Saint-Leon de Westmount (education of the adults) of 1969 with 1972, then with CÉGEP Ahuntsic in 1972-1973.

Bachelor of law of the University of Montreal, he is member of the bar of Quebec since 1973. From September 1972 at November 1973, it is protonotaire assistant of the ministry for the Justice of Quebec. It began its lawyer career like member and associated cabinet Vermette, Dunton, Ciaccia, Rusko, De Wever and Saintonge of 1973 with 1981.

It is made elect like liberal deputy in the provincial district of Laprairie at the time of the Québécois general election of 1981, and is re-elected in 1985. It is named Vice-président of the National Assembly of Quebec of December 16th 1985 at November 28th 1989. It is made re-elect in the new provincial district of the Pinewood in 1989. It becomes President of the National Assembly of Quebec on November 28th 1989, station which it will occupy until November 29th 1994. For this reason, he is President of the Bicentenary of the parliamentary Institutions of Quebec in 1992. He did not represent himself with the Québécois general election of 1994.

Honors

Obtained the rank of Large Cross about the Pleiad.

It was named judge with the Cour of Quebec on September 6th 1995.
