Jean-Pierre Saint-Bear

Jean-Pierre Saint-Bear , born on April 4th, 1752 with Geneva where he died on April 6th, 1809, is a painter and Dessin ator Suisse.

Of a family of refugees huguenots established in Geneva at the end of, Saint-Bear was the pupil of its father, before going to Paris in 1769 in the workshop of Vien. Prize winner of the Price of Rome in 1780, it sees himself refusing a place with the Académie in Rome because it is not French and undertakes the voyage to his expenses. The events of the Révolution obliged it to return to Geneva in 1792.
