Jean-Pierre Romeu

Jean-Pierre Romeu is a former French player of Rugby to XV, born the April 15th 1948 with Thuir, of 1m80 for 76kg.

Biography

It evolved/moved like half of opening to the US Carmaux, then with the ACE Montferrand. He is the best realizer of the tournament of the 5 nations in 1973, and was a long time the best marker in team of France, with 247 points. He was selected 34 times, including 24 at the sides of the half of fray Jacques Fouroux, his future trainer. He gained the Grand Slam in 1977, of which he was the best French realizer with 18 points.

Its sport enabled him to avoid hard work in the mines of Houille of its area, whereas it was predestined there.

With Montferrand, it gains the Yves Challenge of the Manor in 1976 (finalist in 1972 and 1979), and is finalist of the championship of France in 1978.

It obtained the Oscar of the Olympic South (better French player of the championship) in 1974.
