Jean-Pierre Leguay

Born with Dijon in 1939, Jean-Pierre Leguay is a Organiste, Compositeur and Improvisateur blind man. He studied in particular with André Marchal, Gaston Litaize, then with the Conservatoire of Paris with Simone Plé-Caussade (writing), Rolande Falcinelli (organ) and Olivier Messiaen ( composition).

After having occupied the titular station of Organist of the Large Organ of the Church Our-Lady-of-Fields in Paris of 1961 to 1984, Jean-Pierre Leguay is named in 1985 organist Co-holder of Large the Organ of the Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris at the sides of Yves Devernay, Olivier Latry and Philippe Lefebvre, succeeding Pierre Cochereau.
