Jean-Pierre Caens
Jean-Pierre Caens is a Saxophoniste French, specialized in the classical musics and contemporary. Wire of Marcel Caens, it was born on October 15th, 1948. He is also the brother of the trumpet player Thierry Caens.
Studying the piano initially, it turns definitively to the Saxophone which it learns under the aegis of Jean-Marie Londeix with Dijon (first Price, special price of the Minister for the Culture in 1970), then within the class of Daniel Deffayet with the Conservatoire Higher National of Music of Paris (first Price in 1973).
It also makes studies of musicology at the conclusion which it presents its thesis entitled the saxophone face has its repertory .
Holder of the Training certificate to the teaching of the saxophone and the Chamber music in CNR (Conservatory National of Area) (1974), it carries out since a double career of teacher (Besancon during more than 20 years and Aix-en-Provence since 1995) and of instrumentalist: soloist, chamber music, quartets (founding member of the quartets has Piacere and Aulodia ), various units ( Ensemble of Saxophones of Provence , Contemporary Présence ).
