Jean-Pierre Alaux

Jean-Pierre Alaux was born in 1925 with Ciotat. It is a painter " Symbolist visionnirique" , the last of a line of French painters since the 18th century, team leader to the Living room " Comparaisons" with in particular Maurice Boitel, Henri Cadiou, and Rodolphe Caillaux.

The painting of Jean-Pierre Alaux, at the same time baroque, fantastic, surrealist, always envoûtante, represents primarily female characters in landscapes where mythology is " revisitée" in an original way with a very personal symbolic system.

It is related to the painter Gustave Alaux.
