Jean-Philippe Bec is a French type-setter born with Toulouse in 1968.
Chronology of the studies
Jean-Philippe Bec makes his first musical studies with the Conservatoire of Toulouse. Continuing its studies of piano to the royal Conservatory of Brussels, it obtains a first price in 1991 and one price of improvement in 1995. He works then in an intense way with Jean Fassina.He enters at the 1996 to the Conservatoire of Paris, where he obtains several first prices in particular in the classes of Gerard Grisey, Thierry Escaich and Marc-Andre Dalbavie. He obtains in the same establishment the diplomas of higher training in writing, and composition.

It in particular had as interpreters: Emmanuel Strosser, François Salque, David Alan Miller, the Unit Ictus, the Unit Télémaque, Soli-tutti, the National orchestra of France, the Symphony orchestra of Montreal, the national Symphony orchestra of Portugal in great festivals of musical creation like Presences in Radio-France (2003, 2004,2006), Montreal News Musics (2003), ENSEMS (Valence, Spain - 2003), Pond Nostrum (Estoril, Portugal - 2004) and Robeco Zomerconcerten with the Concertgebouw of Amsterdam (2005).
Others
Jean-Philippe Bec is member of the artistic section of the Casa of Velázquez (Madrid). He was for the seasons 2004 to 2006 the first type-setter in residence of the history of the National orchestra of Capitole of Toulouse.
