Jean-Paul Bucher is an Alsatian industrialist . He founded the group of restoration Flo which counts, at the time of his transfer in 2005,150 establishments and 5600 employees all over the world.

Originating in Molsheim it enters as apprentice at 14 years with the Hôtel of the Park of Mulhouse then initiates himself with the restoration in Alsace and Paris, in particular at Lucas and Maxim' S. In 1968 it buys its first Brasserie, named “Flo”. Three years after it resells its business and is found with the head of a beautiful kitty. 33 years old it decides to reinvest and buys Parisian breweries (the Ox on the Roof, the Cupola, the Light comedy, Bofinger…). In the Années 1990 it creates “the new Flo breweries”, repurchases the chains Hippopotamus and Bistro Romain and is internationalized. In 2001 he knows some financial problems of with the many investments but manages to join again with the benefit in 2004. He yields the group Flo at the end of 2005 to the Belgian billionaire Albert Frère 54 years after having begun his professional path as an apprentice.
