Jean-Paul Renard

Jean-Paul Renard (born in 1950) is magistrate and freemason.

It successively was substitute in Annecy in 1979, substitute in Nice in 1982, Grasse examining magistrate in 1986, vice-president senior of the instruction in Nice in 1992 then president of the court of Antibes.

It is implied in the Affaire of the Court of Bankruptcy of Nice, revealed by Eric de Montgolfier, prosecutor close to the TGI of Nice since 1999.

The Superior council of the magistrature (CSM) pronounced against Jean-Paul Renard, on October 29th, 2004, the sanction of retirement of office envisaged by article 45-6 of the ordinance of December 22nd, 1958. The CSM in its decision raises against Mr. Renard to the " serious violations and repeated with the obligations of prudence, diligence, neutrality, honesty and professional rigor revealed with the examination of the seven objections selected, all opposites with the honor and the consideration and having attacked the authority of the justice". According to the CSM the former judge " has lost the ethical reference marks essential to the exercise of the functions of magistrate at the same time as any jurisdictional credit with regard to the auxiliaries of justice and of the justiciables". Mr. Renard lodged appeal in front of the Council of State which confirmed in a stop of March 15th, 2006 the sanction imposed by the CSM.

Jean-Paul Renard moreover is continued for “forgery, use of forgery and violation of the Professional secrecy” to have transmitted confidential informations to the national Big room of France (GLNF), the maconnic obedience to which it belonged. The 17th room of the Magistrates' court of Paris condemned it to 5.000 euros of fine for breach of professional secrecy on January 13rd, 2006.
