Jean-Paul Mauric

Jean-Paul Mauric (born the June 17th 1933 with Hyères (VAr-France) - deceased the January 5th 1971 with Marseilles) was a Chanteur French.

He recorded 19 discs 45 T for the Label Festival , and for the Voice of his Master , 1 for Ducretet Thomson , and more than 200 titles for Multi-Techniques.

He was doubtless one of the most popular singers of the years 1958 with 1965 in France.

He took part in the Grand Prix of the Eurovision 1961, with Cannes (France). He represented France with " there; Spring, carillonne" April; , which was selected by the whole of the televiewers of R.T.F. It was placed 4th.

It is known for its interpretation of " Pretty môme" of Léo Shoed, " Chime of alsace" , " Been engaged of auvergne" , " Tendresse" of Andre Verchuren and Guy Favereau, " It is pretty the mer" of Manos Hadjidakis.

Jean-Paul Mauric is deceased continuations of a cardiac disease at 37 years by leaving his wife with two little girls. He is buried with the Cemetery of Hyères (Var).

The commune of Crau, gave its name to its arts center.
