Gilded parachute

Jean-Pâul Gut profited officially from 2,8 million euros of severance pays (Parachute gilded), which corresponds to two years of wages. This sum, lower of almost three times than that perceived by Noel Forgeard, could cause a new polemic whereas Airbus, subsidiary company with 100% of EADS, implements the " plan; Power 8" of cost reduction and suppression of 10.000 employment.

May 14th, 2007, according to the Capital newspaper , Jean-Paul Gut would have initially required a Severance pay (Parachute gilded or Golden parachute) of 12 million euros, that is to say 4 of more than Noel Forgeard (8,5 million euros of allowances). To avoid a new polemic, a solution would have been found with the funds of investment of the State of the Qatar, the QIA, which controls a little more than 6% of the capital of EADS. According to Capital, the QIA would engage Jean-Paul Gut, by pouring a “Prime of welcome” (or " to him; Golden delicious Hello ") at least 12 million euros. This Qatari solution was denied by the company EADS after its public evocation.

Suspicion of offense of initiate (Business EADS)

In the Business EADS, top-ranking executives of this company would have carried out important appreciations by selling titles EADS in March 2006, before the advertisement of delays of delivery of the very large transport aircraft A380, announces which had involved a fall of the course of the action of the group of more than 26% in only one meeting. The judges Philippe Courroye and Xavière Simeoni were appointed in November 2006 to inform open legal information against X for Délit of initiate, concealment of offense of initiate and diffusion of false or misleading information, following a complaint of small shareholders.

Jean-Paul Gut , delegated general director, would have thus sold 75.000 titles for 1.150.000 euros, just like Noel Forgeard, copresident of EADS, and his children, François Auque, director of EADS Space, Jussi Itavuori, director of human resources. " At the time when I exerted my stock-options, I did not have any information allowing me to think that delays at Airbus were going to have an impact on the accounts of EADS " , Jean-Paul Gut with the Barber declared on June 11th, 2007.
