Jean-Paul Gouteux

Jean-Paul Gouteux (deceased in July 2006), medical Entomologist French and researcher in medical entomology at the Institute for Development (IRD). Before its death, it occupied a station at the Laboratory CHECHMATE of the University of Yaounde I.

During the Seventies, it is co-operating with the Kivu (ex- Zaire). Thereafter, he worked and resided in several countries of Africa the such Congo, the Ivory Coast, the Burkina Faso, Central Africa and the Cameroun.

He collaborated in many research programs medical in these various countries, and took part since 1994 in the initiatives citizens to make the truth on the drama of the Génocide in Rwanda. Thus it joined association Survie in July 1994. It militated against the Négationnisme and the vulgarizing of the Génocide S through several works and articles. Its contributions relate mainly to the genocide perpetrated against the Tutsi to the Rwanda, the French implication in this event and the Désinformation which surrounds it, in particular, according to Goûteux, in Le Monde , with the director of which it had several lawsuits.

He denounced the made conferences November 28th and 29th 2003 with Toulouse by the journalist and essay writer Québécois Robin Philpot (candidate with the provincial elections 2007 (Quebec, Canada) for the Parti Québécois). He estimated that the remarks of this last (stated in particular in a work entitled That did not occur like that to Kigali , 2003) standardized the Rwandan genocide.

April 7th, 2007 is appeared the first number of a baptized annual review, in homage to Jean-Paul Gouteux, “ the Rwandan Night ” and a new Internet site of the same name.
