Jean-Michel Guilcher
Jean-Michel Guilcher , born in 1914, is Ethnologue and honorary senior research worker to CNRS. It is known for its research on the traditional dances in France, in particular its investigations of ground in Low-Brittany, then into the near total of the French territory, which it carries out in company of his Helene wife.
In 1969, it publishes the fine and the renewals of the French dance , a fundamental work on the origin and the development of the Contredanse, and on the practice of the dance at the 18th century. It is a reference not exceeded to date.
He is also the author of books for children.
