Jean-Marie Leclair
Jean-Marie Leclair is a Violoniste and Compositeur born with Lyon the May 10th 1697 and died in Paris the October 22nd 1764.
Biography
Teenager, Leclair was already a famous violinist. After being itself put at the service of the King in 1734, he resigned four years later to occur in round. He played in particular the court of Orange Anne, $the Hague, and court of the duke of Grammont.
Although he also wrote for the theater, the most eminent French violonist of its time remains especially known for his Sonate S and Concerto S for violin.
He died assassinated in the night of the 22 with the October 23rd 1764. This crime was never elucidated.
