Born in 1924 with Saint-Sever, It makes its studies with the college Victor Duruy with Mont of Marsan. In 1944, Appointed replacing teacher, it ensures of the tasks of teaching in several communes of Chalosse. Not being able to leave his sick father, it follows the courses by correspondence of the Faculty of Law of Toulouse from which it is graduate.
In 1954, he becomes Avocat with the bar of Mont of Marsan.
With the elections of 1958, it is elected appointed 3rd district of the Moors (district of Saint-Sever) and sits at the popular group of the Républicains and Centers democratic. He is re-elected with legislative 1962, 1967, 1968 and 1973. He is beaten by Henri Emmanuelli in 1978. Elected under a label of independent, there remains a close relation of the family Centriste of Christian democratic inspiration. It will be among the supports of Jacques Duhamel at the time of the foundation of Progrès and modern democracy (PDM).
It is elected Maire of Saint-Sever of 1965 to 1989. It engages an ambitious policy of economic development, whose creation of the agroalimentary complex of Saint-Sever is a major realization. It dies in 1998 in Pessac.
