Jean-Marie Borzeix

Jean-Marie Borzeix is a journalist and person in charge of French cultural establishments born the 1941 with Bugeat.

Course

After studies of letters in the Sorbonne and the Institute of political studies of Paris, Jean-Marie Borzeix becomes professor in Algérie. He turns however quickly to journalism, enters to Combat (1968-1973) then to the political service of the Quotidien of Paris (1974-1975).

He S brings closer then to the cultural and literary problems: he is editor association of the Nouvelles arts persons then directing arts person with the editions of the Threshold (1979-1984). At this point in time it is named director of France Culture, station where it remains during more than twelve years (1984-1997). With his departure, the Minister for the Culture, Catherine Trautmann entrusts the drafting of a report/ratio to him on the right of loan in library, to put an end to the quarrel which shakes the world of the book. Its standpoint is criticized by the librarians who reproach him his methods and suspect it of having had a priori in favor of the editors. It is however named chairman of Télérama (1999-2000) then occupies various functions with the National library of France.

He in addition was member of the High council of the francophonie (1985-2002) and chair International festival of the francophonies in the Limousin (since 2002).
