Jean-Marc Nollet

Jean-Marc Nollet (born with Mouscron on January 7th 1970) is a Belgian Politician . He is the chief of the group Ecolo with the Chambre of the Representatives of Belgium.

Laid off in political sciences in 1992, he was president of the Fédération of the Student (E) S Francophones (1990-1991), then carries out a civil service near DTA-Quarter World (1992-1994). He begins his political career in Ecolo in 1994.

Political career

Jean-Marc Nollet was one of youngest Belgian ministers the, becoming Ministre for the Childhood of the French Community at 29 years, in 1999. He exerted these functions during five years (1999-2004), contributing to the refinancing of the French Community and thus to the contribution of new means for the school and the policy of reception of childhood, while being regularly in debate with his colleagues ministers.

Like federal deputy, elected on the district of the Hainaut, he is recognized for his competences as regards public finances and his proposals for a better financing of the Social security. He also worked much on the question of the Nuclear waste (which one wanted to store in his province, with Fleurus - Farciennes) and on that of the reform of the fire protection organizations (following the Catastrophe of Ghislenghien).

With the legislative elections of June 10th, 2007, it was chief candidate Ecolo to the Room in the province of Hainaut and is re-elected appointed federal.
